This morning, the General Secretary for External Affairs, Marian Elorza, and the Director for the Basque Community Abroad, Gorka Álvarez Aranburu, presented at the Presidency of the Government the digital publication on the activity of the 7th World Congress of Basque Collectivities Abroad, as well as the Four-Year Plan 2020-2023.
The Congress took place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th October 2019 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao with the slogan “Weaving Networks”. This edition of the World Congress proceeded with an analysis and reflection on Basque presence abroad in the 21st century.
Its results were satisfactory and in the next four years will prompt the Basque Government to develop public policies for the Basque Community abroad.
As the Basque Lehendakari himself says in the introduction to the publication on the activity of the 7th World Congress, the Basque Diaspora is a box full of talent. In the attached pages we invite you to open that box and to discover what’s inside.
For the time being the publication will only be issued in digital format. It is available for consultation by all those interested in it in this link.
