According to figures released by Basque white line household goods cluster association ACEDE, cluster billing in 2008 by its eight member firms came to €1,770 million, 14.8% down on the previous year. The total workforce numbered 12,100 at year-end.

The Spanish white line household appliance industry is currently dominated by three business groups, which in 2007 accounted for 56.2% of the domestic market in monetary terms, according to the latest economic report issued by Basque savings bank Caja Laboral: the leader is German group Bosch-Siemens Electrodomésticos España, with a 25.6% share in 2007. Following close behind is Basque group Fagor, a Mondragon Corporation member, with Fagor Electrodomésticos as the lead firm enjoying a 19.5% market share. Swedish group Electrolux is in third place with a market share of 11.1%.

Other white line producers include Teka (6.5% market share in 2007), followed by Candy Hoover Electrodomésticos, with a market share of 3% and Korean multinational Daewoo's fridge factory in Vitoria.

Basque business interests in the industry abroad include 9 factories distributed between the Czech Republic, Mexico, the USA, Italy, Morocco, Argentina and Poland, 30-plus commercial offices and a commercial presence in more than 60 countries.
